The University of British Columbia (UBC) Continuing Studies and the Digital Analytics Association (DAA) are pleased to announce that Tammy McKenna has been awarded the 2016 Jim Novo Award of Academic Excellence. The award is presented to the graduate with the highest grade average over all four courses in the UBC/DAA Digital Analytics Program Tammy completed the program last year with an impressive 99% grade average in her courses.

"I chose the UBC/DAA's Award of Achievement in Digital Analytics program because it provides a solid understanding of the fundamentals of digital analytics (essential for someone like me who is new to the field) and effective approaches in a real-world context. In addition to being able to complete the courses at my own pace, the program's accreditation is recognized globally," says Tammy McKenna, who lives in Vancouver, Canada.

Tammy previously worked in marketing research/analytics and customer experience measurement roles in the financial services and entertainment industries and decided to shift her career focus and explore digital analytics.

"The program has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to help drive change that will improve the usability and profitability of an organization's digital assets." Building on her extensive understanding of consumer behaviour and marketing, Tammy is excited by the prospect of effecting organizational change in the dynamic digital world.

Tammy thoroughly enjoyed participating in this program and the engagement from other students, "I certainly appreciated their willingness to challenge each other's points of view, share their experiences and offer advice."
