2013 DAA Awards for Excellence Winners Announced

WAKEFIELD, MA-- (Marketwire – April 17, 2013) - The Digital Analytics Association (DAA), announced today the winners of the 3rd annual DAA Awards for Excellence. All DAA members and non-members were invited to nominate outstanding contributions from individuals, agencies, vendors and practitioners who deserve recognition. More than 60 nominations were submitted for this global competition and the almost 3,000 DAA members voted to determine five finalists in five categories. An industry panel of judges determined the recipients. Award recipients were announced at the DAA Awards for Excellence Gala on Tuesday night, April 16th in San Francisco, CA as part of the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit, the official summit of the DAA.
"The DAA Awards for Excellence honor the finest organizations and professionals in the digital analytics field today," said Aaron Maass, chairman of the 3rd annual DAA Awards for Excellence Gala. "The winners were selected for their lasting contributions to the industry and we are proud to recognize the accomplishments of this highly talented group."
The 2013 DAA Awards for Excellence recipients are:
- Digital Analytics Rising Star: Elizabeth "Smalls" Eckels, Direct to Consumer Analyst, Abercrombie & Fitch
- Most Influential Industry Contributor: Stéphane Hamel, Director of Strategic Services, Cardinal Path
- New Technology of the Year: Webtrends
- Most Influential Agency/Vendor: Google Analytics
- Practitioner of the Year: Michele Kiss, Partner, Web Analytics Demystified
