Salaries for Analytics Professionals Rose 6% Since 2019
Strategy is the top activity of analytics professionals
WAKEFIELD, Mass. – October 22, 2020
The Digital Analytics Association (DAA) today at the DAA OneConference announced the results of the 2020 Digital Analytics Compensation & Benefits Report.
Sponsored by InfoTrust, the report provides in-depth analysis regarding compensation trends for professionals involved in every level of the digital analytics industry. Data was collected for the most recent year of employment, pre-COVID, and covers compensation levels from entry level to the C-suite for digital analytics professionals.
The study found that factors such as self-employment vs. working for a company, size of company, and size of team could all impact total compensation in significant ways. "Analytics professionals can use this data to make educated choices about how to best shape their career and professional development," said Marilee Yorchak, the Executive Director of the Digital Analytics Association.
While survey respondents report being at their current employer on average almost 5 years and job satisfaction is relatively good, there is still a lot of work to be done to even the playing field in terms of compensation equality and representation in the industry. "The data clearly shows that women are less likely to negotiate salaries than men, and since the mission of the DAA is to support the growth and development of ALL of our members – this research is crucial to equip our industry as they pursue their careers. We were fortunate to have InfoTrust as a sponsor that shared our vision", said Michael Helbling, the Board Member leading the Compensation Study task force.
This extensive report is now available at no charge to all DAA members and survey respondents. For non-members who did not participate in the survey, the report is available to purchase for $499.
