1:00pm - 1:40pm | Three Things You Absolutely, Without a Doubt, Beyond Question, Need to Know about Data Privacy Before You Launch that Next Marketing Project
In today’s business landscape, privacy is part of the national conversation. Transparency is the key to long-term mutually beneficial relationships with your customers. Just because you can use data, doesn't mean you should. If you don't have your customer's best interests at heart, someone else will. This means caring enough to stay on top of what consent you need to collect to keep doing what you're doing --- everything from what you can and can't email to all the cookies on your site. Learn what you need to have a solid privacy program in place and what you should and shouldn’t be collecting and using in your analytics tools. The companies who are already taking this seriously recognize how important it is to their reputation and that it’s a competitive edge and they have no problem flaunting it. You should too. In this session, you’ll learn why privacy is essential to digital analytics decisions you make and how to integrate privacy basics into the foundation of your marketing program. Key Takeaways

2:00pm - 2:40pm | Women in Analytics Session: Data for Impact: Bringing Insights to the Business
Bringing insights to a business and making data a core part of business operations is not just about the technical aspect, or even the data itself. In order for insights to have business impact, data needs to be positioned to the stakeholders and users in language that resonates and in a way that makes the benefit clear to them, and there needs to be an opportunity to provide feedback to improve and meet changing needs. In this session, Jennifer will reinforce the importance of keeping the “human” at the center of bringing insights to the business and highlight the key actions an Insights team should take to do this.
